These two pictures are when Aaron was awake 2:30-5:30 a.m. the night after getting his vaccinations. He slept poorly for about 3 days, but I think (cross my fingers) that he's getting back to normal (4-5 hours at night). He makes some funny faces as seen above.
In the last week or two he's started to really like his toys. Once in a while he even manages to pull the toy, make the bird spin, and the music play (quite by accident I'm sure).
His new thing is that he plays with his hands. He rolls his hands over and over, kind of like Mr. Smithers in the Simpsons. Often he holds his arms up does the hand thing. I'm not sure if other babies do that or if he's just "special."
This is a blanket that one of my mission companions made and mailed to me. It is absolutely beautiful. Thankyou Briawna.

Vaccinations

Aaron had his first vaccinations yesterday. It's a lot harder being the mom and holding your kid down while they get shots. I've only been on the giving end before. It's harder than I thought. In the end, Aaron handled it really well. He was only fussy afterwards, and didn't get a fever. Instead of making him tired and sleep more, he slept a lot less. I feel like when I first brought him home from the hospital and I wasn't getting any sleep. Hopefully tonight he goes longer than 3 hours at a time.

This is breakfast that Paolo made me the other morning. What a sweetheart!
Paolo was taking care of Aaron so that I could get something done. I went into the bedroom to see why they were so quiet. Both dad and baby had fallen asleep playing Aaron's toys. Paolo doesn't know I took these pictures (or that they're getting posted). he he he. ;)

Happy Anniversary

This is the morning of August 13th. Yesterday was our anniversary. To celebrate we got up with Aaron at his 4 am feeding and instead of going back to sleep, we drove over an hour to the beach to watch the sun rise. It was absolutely beautiful! These are around 6 am pictures of us with very little sleep. So don't look too closely at Paolo and me. Aaron is as cute as ever, and becoming the world's biggest chunk.

This is just an insert. Aaron is smiling and starting to jabber and coo a lot. He's also officially into his 3 month clothes as of his 2 month mark. He's starting to get really strong. He holds his head up by himself, and loves to push with his legs while we hold him sitting.
Unfortunately there is never anyone to take a picture of us, especially just after 6 am. So we had to self portrait ourselves.

This was the best we could do to get all 3 of us. Better luck next time Julie!

2 months old

One of the very few pictures we have of all three of us. This is in the church at Bologna. Aaron's almost 2 months old! He doesn't look as cute in these pictures as real life, but I thought his faces were funny. He's growing like crazy. He's also becoming more expressive, and more fun.
