Smiling

This a shirt Maureen got for Aaron when she went to Ireland.
Aaron has started smiling and "talking" to us in the last couple of days. He especially loves his daddy. He loves to hear Paolo talk to him, and he smiles and coos back. He's also turning into a chunk. About 10 days ago he weighed 4.8 kg (10.5 lbs) at the pediatrician's office. I weighed him 2 days ago and he was 5.2 kg (11.5 lbs). Yikes, he's growing fast.

Immigration

So our other big news is that while I was at the temple in Switzerland this week, Paolo went for his immigration interview. They gave him his VISA, and that means we'll be moving back to the USA. I just bought a ticket for Aaron and me. We're coming back October 11th, and Paolo is coming on November 5th.

Trip to the temple

I went to my friend, Elisa's wedding at the temple in Switzerland this week. I stayed in the hostel by the temple the whole week. They have a nursery in the temple, so someone watched Aaron for me while I went to the wedding. Everyone loved Aaron, especially the parents of the groom. Aaron has some adopted grandparents now. I called them his "nonni napolitani" (his grandparents from Naples).
This is Elisa's mom. The nice thing about being in the hostel is that there were about 50 moms and grandmothers willing to help me with Aaron.
This is me and Aaron in front of the temple in Switzerland.
This is Elisa with her mom and sister.
This is me passed out (as usual) with Aaron on the bed. I still don't get more than a couple of hours at a time, so I take advantage of all the naps I possibley (sp?) can. I didn't know Paolo had taken a picture of me until just now when I was down loading the pictures onto the computer.
This is Anna, the little girl I used to babysit. We ate dinner at her house last Sunday. She is absolutely beautiful!
This is the first night at the temple. Aaron often looks like he's trying to be a boxer, and it makes me laugh.

This is Paolo's brother and sister-in-law, Daniele and Elisa. Aaron loves it when his uncle holds him. He stares and coos.
This is at Paolo's cousin's wedding. She was married in the church by our house. The picture below is Paolo trying on Aaron's bow tie. Handsome daddy!

This is a friend from our branch. Her name is Maddelena. She loves children, and Aaron loved her.

1 month old

This is Aaron at 1 month old. We had a 4th of July party and a cute onsie that had a fourth of July design, but I accidently erased all of the photos from our camera. Hate it when I do that.

The first month has been fun and sleep deprived. Aaron is awake more than when he was first born. He has also developed come cholic. I can feel and hear the air rumbling in his belly. Poor kid. He really likes listening to us read to him and looking at our faces. In church yesterday someone else was holding Aaron. When I started talking he looked right at me and stared. He knows his mom!

One other piece of good news is that Paolo and I will probably be moving back to Utah by Christmas. We'll know for sure at the end of July.
