Jordan's Blessing

The boys are both growing like weeds! Aaron is going through shoes like Jordan is going through clothes- non-stop. They keep getting bigger and bigger.

We blessed Jordan the first Sunday in August. I used the same outfit that I used for Aaron when he was blessed. Jordan fit in it a lot better because he was a little older than when we blessed Aaron.

Jordan is all smiles and cooing like crazy. This is such a fun stage. He is definitely an angel baby. He's started sleeping through the night, and is a very low-key baby. He is just so happy most of the time. He's definitely not as high strung as his brother.

We had a wind storm a week ago, and our neighbors tree fell into our yard and broke our fence. Thank goodness that it didn't land on our house!

We had some friends from Bologna visiting this last weekend. We went to a Bee's baseball game. Paolo knows this friend (Labo) from baseball. We had really good seats and a lot of fun. Thanks for coming to visit us Labo, Patti, Filippo, and Matteo! This picture is Aaron with Filippo.

You can't go to a baseball game without enjoying a hot dog!

Bargain Shopping

Aaron is trying to watch TV. So he's trying to look around me standing in his way. He's 100% Minson in that sense- can't get his eyes off the TV.

This is my latest bargain buy. I can't help buying something if I can get it for a steal. Paolo hates it when I say I stopped by a garage sale. He always groans and asks "what is it that you bought this time?" in an exasperated voice. "Something else we don't need?" I then try to justify why all of a sudden we desperately need whatever I got for a really good deal. This pirate outfit is the latest of my garage sale shopping. Price: $2.00 . Who couldn't resist? I've been avoiding garage sales lately, but this one was a mega garage sale in the parking lot of a grocery store where I went shopping about 2 weeks ago.
Jordan wasn't as crazy about the outfit. In another two years that might change. Last week we had the stomach flu go around the house. First Aaron, then me, then Paolo, then me again. Jordan managed to escape the nasty bug. I've done unknown amounts of laundry and cleaning of my house with Lysol to get rid the bug at my house. We're all much better now.

Aaron's new things are putting on all kinds of stray shoes, usually boots. His favorite are yellow rain boots. This time it was two different kinds of winter boots (both female). His other newest thing is he LOOOOOOOVES to strip down to nothing. He's learned how to take off his pants and underwear. He is faster than lightning. He strips and runs for it. He's usually streaking around our yard in the nude. I honestly dress him more than 10 times a day. Who knows what the neighbors think of us. And honestly, I don't care too much what they do say. I'm just worried about how long it takes him to do it in nursery. That'll be quite the story to tell his children.
Jordan had his two month check up yesterday. He went from 40th percentile to 78% in both weight and height. He's growing like a weed!!! 13 lbs 6 oz. We love this bundle of joy.

This is Jordan at 7 1/2 weeks. He's started to coo and smile, and be a lot of fun when he does. Aaron now loves to hold his brother, and I've got to be very careful that he doesn't do it by himself.

My mom just bought us a trampoline (for Aaron's b-day. We finally got around to buying it and setting it up). Aaron LOVES it! Thanks for the great b-day present Nonna.

Aaron's favorite thing to do: play with sticks and dirt, and eat both of them as much as possible.

Cute boys!

Aaron decided that he wanted to hold and kiss his baby brother (under strict supervision). It lasted more than 2 seconds, so I was able to get some cute pictures of my boys. With all the dirt and everything else that goes into Aaron's mouth, it probably isn't a great thing that I let him toush, let alone kiss Jordan.
I love Jordan, he loves me...

We love mamma yessiree...

She loves us and so you see...

We are a happy family. :)

6 weeks old

This is the story of our life... dirty hands and eating dirt. Yes, Aaron eats dirt on a regular basis. No amount of time out's or otherwise deters him from eating clumps, dipping his fingers in dirt and licking them, or dipping his food in the closest dirt before eating it. Totally disgusting, but I don't get there in time to stop it most of the time.
Aaron's other favorite past time... run around naked. He's much better with his potty training. The only problem is he's fast as lightning and can run for it before you can get clothes back on him. In this picture he ran for it and then went to read a book.

I think Jordan looks a lot like Aaron in this picture. I can't believe he's 6 weeks old, and how big he's gotten.

As you can see by the double chin, he's a healthy eater.

Trip to Bryce Canyon

I decided to hazard a 2 day trip alone (w/out Paolo) with the kids. I went with my mom and some of my sibblings and their families. I had fun with my family, but Aaron was a nightmare and I don't want to try that alone again for a long time.

Me and Paolo. The rest of us isn't worth looking at right now. We're still a little sleep deprived.

Jordan at about 3 weeks.

True love's first kiss. Aaron is a dog lover, and fell in love with aunt Maureen's new puppy.

Happy Birthday Aaron

This is Aaron when he was born. I went back to look at pictures of Aaron, and I had forgotten how small and cute he was!
This is Aaron at 1 year

Happy 2nd Birthday!

We (or should I say "I") didn't feel up to having a big birthday party, so Aaron got cupcakes and that was it. My sister, Karin, came up to see the new baby and so we sang happy birthday with them and called it good.

Aaron with his cousins Annicka and Park.

For Aaron's B-day we met some friends at the zoo, and had a great time. I didn't stay long because I didn't feel like trying to breast feed at the zoo, but Aaron had a lot of fun all the same.

We went to the bird show and Aaron kept yelling "wow" at the top of his lungs every time the birds flew overhead. He loved it! This is him yelling with excitement.
