Le smorfie di Aaron

Aaron wasn't so sure about the first few bites of this one. I think it was sweet potatoes. After the initial shock, he loved them.

Aaron looks like he has a double chin in this picture. Oh well, the better to tease him with when's he older.
Aaron had fun playing with our clothes while we tried to fold them. You can see his two bottom teeth if you look closely.

What was he thinking when he was making that face?!

One of my favorite things about Aaron is his smile. He smiles when he plays with dad, or gets a glimpse of mom.

Baby Food

This is Aaron while I was working and he was with Paolo. Good to know what the kids do with dad while I'm away. :)

Aaron has this crazy thing where he loves to try and put our nose in his mouth. Definitely not the most sanitary past time. It used to be kind of cute until he got his two bottom teeth, and then it became an occupational hazard. We don't usually let him do it anymore because it may mean losing big chunks of skin from your nose, but this time it was too cute to resist.

Un cosa carina e` che Aaron cercava di ciucciare il nostro naso, ma e` diventato un pericolo da quando sono arrivati i due dentini di sotto. C'e` il rischio di perdere una grande quantita` di pelle. Normalmente non glielo facciamo fare, ma era troppo buffo questa volta.
Aaron loves his daddy! Aaron adora il suo papa`!
He's finally regularly on solids and loves to eat! (Just like his mom.) We started with vegetables and then have been adding some fruits too. He likes peas, carrots, peaches, apples, bananas and pears. The only thing he hasn't been crazy about is squash.

Abbiamo cominciato a dare le pappine. Fino ad ora , gli piacciono piselli, carote, pesche, mele, banane, e pere. L'unica cosa che gli piace poco e` la zucca. Gli piace mangiare (come la sua mamma).

Aaron 7 months

Merry Christmas Aaron. This is a present from a little girl about 5 in our ward who has taken a liking to Aaron. He's still too little to enjoy opening presents, but he does love paper. He loves wadding it up and chewing on it.

Aaron ha quasi una fidanzata di 5 anni ( e` anche ricca !! ) che ha fatto questo regalo per lui. Sinceramente e` piu` interassato nella carta. Gli piace toccare e ciucciare la carta che ricevere dei regali.

Aaron sta con i suoi cugini, Xidis e Elyxzia. Gli piace il bagno tanto, e ancora di piu con i suoi cugini.

Aaron looks a little dopey, but it was the best shot we could get to show his bottom two teeth that he has. They came in around 6 months, and his upper gums are swollen, so more are on their way.

Sembra un po' tonto, ma era l'unica foto che si vede un po' i suoi dentini. Ce ne sono due di sotto e le gengive di sopra sono gonfie , quindi stanno arrivando degli altri.

He loves to walk! Once he can go on his own he's going to start running, forget walking.

A questo bimbo piace camminare. Quando riuscira` ad andare da solo , sara` difficile fermarlo .

Sta incominciando a coordinarsi meglio e riesce ad alzarsi da solo quando Paolo lo prende per le manine .

So Aaron will be 7 months in a couple of days. We took him to the pediatrician yesterday and everything seems to going well. He now weighs 18 pounds and is 27 inches. He's in about the 40th percentile for height and weight. He also got his immunizations which means he's been extra cranky since yesterday and not sleeping well. One more day and I'll have my happy boy back.

Fra alcuni giorni compie 7 mesi. Dalla visita della pediatra qualche giorno fa, sembra che vada tutto bene. Pesa 8 chili ed e` lungo 68 centimetri. La pediatra dice che sta crescendo come dovrebbe. Ha avuto la terza serie di vaccinazioni e quindi e` stato lamentoso, ma secondo me torna fra poco il nostro bimbo gioioso.

Grantsville

Paolo and I went for a mini road trip west of Salt Lake City. We've decided we want to explore and see the U.S. together. Our destination brought us to Grantsville, UT. It's somewhere west of Tooele (a podunk town, but apparently J. Reuben Clark is from there). There are lots of fields and animals. There were some huge pigs, and some buffalo too. I didn't know that we had domestic buffalo in Utah. There were also some spectacular views of the mountains.

Abbiamo fato un piccolo viaggio presso la parte ovest di Salt Lake City. Vogliamo vedere gli Stati Uniti insieme. Oggi siamo andati in un piccolo paese agricolo che si chiama Grantsville, circa 60 kilometri ad ovest dalla citta`. C'erano dei Ranch e degli animali. C'erano alcuni maiali giganti , dei bisonti e mucche al pascolo . C'era una bella vista delle montagne e grandi praterie che ti fanno tornare indietro nel tempo all`epoca dei pionieri che arrivavano dall`est . Possiamo cosi` dare un`idea di quanto sia vasto il continente americano .

Maiali che sembrano bisonti , o bisonti che sembrano maiali ? vi assicuro che in foto non rendono quanto sono grandi realmente !

Un Ranch con cavalli allo stato brado .

This was a fun little trip, but we're hoping to see other places like Yellow Stone National Park. I guess we'll have to wait for the snow to melt first.

Winter Wonderland

Aaron gets to know his Grandpa Copple (he met grandma when he was a week old). Aaron loves his grandparents.

Finalmente Aaron conosce il suo nonno meglio. La nonna ha conosciuto appena nato.

Aaron 6 months

We finally have internet, so we'll be posting on a more regular basis again!
Aaron just turned 6 months a week ago. He celebrated it by getting his first tooth, and within a week his second tooth. They're both on the bottom. Thank heavens that the second one has come in because he was pretty cranky for a while. Aaron chews anything and everything in site as you can see below.

Aaron ha compiuto 6 mesi e per festeggiare l'occasione sono spuntati 2 denti. Cuccia tutto (e` un po come avere un caniolino in casa). Sta crescendo bene.

This is the snow (one of three in the last 2 weeks) for all of our friends in Italy to see. I love it, being from here, but Paolo isn't used to it and he doesn't like a lot yet. Eventually he'll get used to it.

Questa e` la neve per tutti i nostri amici in Italia di vedere. Era una di 3 nevicate. La prima foto e` della macchina di Paolo, e la secondo e` un campo vicino a casa.

moved back to Utah

Well, we just moved back to Utah. That is why it has been so long since we've posted on our blog. If anyone wants to call and talk to us, our number is 801-652-5312. It has been a hard transition but we've been very blessed. It's so good to be close to family! Aaron's new accomplishments is that he is now 5 months, he can sit up well by him, and he LOVES being with his cousins. Paolo and I are both working. Aaron gets babysat by my sister-in-law. Aaron loves playing with his cousins.

Ci siamo trasferiti nello Utah. E' stato un cambiamento piutosto grande, ma le cose vanno bene. Il bimbo ha compiuto 5 mesi e adesso riesce a stare seduto da solo per i tempi lunghi. Il bimbo sta benissimo quando sta in mezzo ai cugini.

These are my grandparents. They were so happy to get to know their Italian grandson. He's actually Italian-Irish if you ask my grandma.

Questi sono i nonni di Julie. Erano felici di conoscere il loro nipote italiano.

This is Halloween. He was actuallly dressed as a bumblebee, but the devil horns were cute.
Aaron loves his bath time. His favorite thing to do is suck on the wash clothe. He tries every time to put his face in the water with his mouth open, but I won't let him.

This is Aaron's cousin, Park. They look a lot alike.


This is my mom with all the grandkids. We love it when grandma comes to visit.
